What we collect

We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, and billing details when you create an account or subscribe to a plan. We also collect the URLs and content you submit for crawling, and the chat transcripts generated through your deployed bot widgets.

We automatically collect certain technical data when you use the service: IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics.

How we use it

We use your data to provide and improve the MimicBot service, process payments, send transactional emails (account confirmations, invoices, security alerts), and respond to support requests. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.

We may use aggregate, anonymized analytics to understand usage patterns and prioritize product development. This data cannot be used to identify you.

What we share

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with the sub-processors necessary to operate the service (cloud hosting, payment processing, transactional email) and only to the extent required for those services. A list of current sub-processors is available on request.

We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of MimicBot, our customers, or the public.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email hello@mimicbot.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your session and prevent CSRF attacks. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics are collected via privacy-preserving server-side methods that do not require cookies.

Children's privacy

MimicBot is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately at hello@mimicbot.app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the primary account email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
